As I have documented Refuge in the process, I find it important to do the same with Drift.
The difference I found with the Drift in regards to Refuge, is that the snow shovel that
is to inhabit the painting becomes an absent image, residue of an action that has been
left over, or is up about to occur.This occurrence can be said to be of the
same transient nature of the seasons itself.
Another read on this piece in the state of which is shown on the right, could be a reaction to
painting, but it is more about the gesture of digging through paintings history than it is
about reacting against it.
